Zsa Zsa Gabor, the ailing Hollywood actress currently recovering in hospital after her latest medical setback, has put her Bel Air mansion up for sale with an asking price set at $15 million. Zsa Zsa Gabor, best known for her roles in 'Moulin Rouge' and 'Lili', has been in and out of hospital since injuring her hip last summer, reports Reuters.
The house, set in the exclusive Los Angeles hillside neighbourhood, boasts four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a pool. Gabor's husband Frederic Prinz von Anhalt originally spoke of selling the property in January 2011, attaching a price-tag of $28 million that was considered unrealistic by local real estate agents. The actress previously suggested that Elvis Presley once lived in the home, and that it was originally built for the famously reclusive Howard Hughes, but there has been no evidence to support such claims. Gabor's spokesman John Blanchette said on Tuesday that Von Anhalt was planning to auction Gabor's lucrative collection of gowns, shoes and antiques later this year. Blanchette added, "He wants to move to a high rise near the hospital or a gated community".
Hungarian-born Zsa Zsa Gabor had her leg amputated in January because of a gangrene infection, and has since lost the ability speak following a stroke. She recently recovered from a bout of pneumonia but is currently in hospital suffering from an infection.
