Zsa Zsa Gabor and her husband invited 100 guests to their Los Angeles home for a party to mark the actress' 95th birthday - but the ailing star was not able to leave her room to join in the festivities.
Zsa Zsa Gabor stayed in bed throughout her 95th birthday party last night (06.02.12).
The ailing actress - who has suffered a string of health problems in recent years - was unable to join the 100 guests at her Los Angeles mansion but her husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt said she could "feel the energy" from outside her bedroom when he went in to present her with a chocolate birthday cake created by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck.
Frederic added: "This night is only a Celebration of my wife's life."
Guests were served champagne and foods including warm pretzels, schnitzel, and a cake decorated with hearts, strawberries and the letters ZZ on each tier.
Pianist Rei Williams and teenage singer Caleb - who had written a song especially for the actress - provided the entertainment.
On display at the party was a framed letter which read: "The Consulate General of Hungary in Los Angeles sincerely congratulates Zsa Zsa Gabor on the occasion of her 95th birthday. We wish you many more years!"
In the invitations sent out to guests ahead of the party, Zsa Zsa joked she had been lying about her age for many years.
