Zoe Kravitz is in talks to join '1000 A.E.'.

The 'X-Men: First Class' actress is in negotiations to play Will Smith's daughter in the sci-fi action adventure set on an earth that is no longer hospitable to humans.

Will's real-life son Jaden Smith will play his on-screen son in the movie, to be directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

British actress Sophie Okonedo - best known for her parts in 'Doctor Who' and 'Hotel Rwanada' - is also in talks to play the matriarch of the family.

Stephan Gaghan, Gary Whitta and Shyamalan have written The Script for the project, which is due to go into production in early 2012 ahead of a summer 2013 release.

The picture will tell the tale of a failed warrior (Jaden) who must look after his father (Will) when the pair crash land on earth.

Zoe has had a particularly successfully 2011, having starred as Angel Salvadore in 'X-Men: First Class' - which also starred Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy - and TV series 'Californication'.

She is also due to shoot the fourth instalment of the 'Mad Max' series, 'Fury Road', next year.
