The Who star has teamed up with the members of his favourite bands to record covers for his new album, Issues, which kicks off with the revamped version of the 1977 punk anthem.

The upcoming release also features covers of Mott the Hoople's All the Young Dudes, and Blondie's One Way Or Another, featuring those bands' Mick Ralphs and Clem Burke, respectively.

Pearl Jam star Eddie Vedder also appears on Starkey and partner Sshh Liguz's revamp of the Wailers' reggae anthem Get Up Stand Up, while Small Faces drummer Kenney Jones guests on the album's closing track Tin Soldier.

Proceeds from sales of Issues will benefit Zak's The Who bandmate Roger Daltrey's Teen Cancer Program.
