Zac Efron has shown his charitable side this Christmas by giving away items of his clothing to charity; this isn't some short jaunt down to the local Oxfam for the 'High School Musical' star however; Efron has given up some 300 items of clothing to the Children's Resource Network of The Central Coast, the good deed done the day before this year's Thanksgiving Day.
San Luiso Obispo reported the story initially, stating that the foundation's Lisa Ray vaguely recognised the young man who turned up to help load piles of clothes in the Ceo's car, but it was only when he spoke that the penny dropped. "He looks at me and says, 'Hey, I'm Zac Efron,' and I screamed. I'm screaming like I'm a 13-year-old girl," she explained to the local newspaper. The Children's Resource Network allows impoverished and disadvantage children the chance to receive clothes that they might not otherwise be able to afford, and the charity has said that those given by the 24 year-old star will be specially tagged so that those receiving them will know their previous owner.
Commenting on this, Ray said "His gift says a lot, it's not only the clothing. It's having something special that other kids wouldn't have access to. It shows them that people do care." Efron's latest role was in the poorly received 'New Year's Eve' which he starred in alongside Ashton Kutcher and Lea Michele among others.
