LATEST: Rapper Young Buck has been sentenced to three years' probation, after pleading no contest to stabbing a man during a brawl at last year's (04) Vibe Awards show.
The 24-year-old hip-hop star, real name DAVID DARNELL BROWN, entered the plea to a charge of assault likely to produce great bodily harm. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge JAMES BRANDLIN also ordered him to perform 80 hours of community service.
Young Buck stabbed show patron JIMMY JAMES JOHNSON, 27, after Johnson punched producer Dr Dre during a scuffle at the Los Angeles awards show.
On 14 September (05), Johnson pleaded guilty to felony assault and was sentenced to a year in jail and placed on three years' probation.
This isn't Young Buck's only legal woe - in August (05) he pleaded not guilty to felony gun possession charges filed when he and fellow G-Unit member Lloyd Banks were arrested after performing at New York City's Madison Square Garden.
He is due in court in New York City on 26 January (06).
