Country star Wynonna Judd is struggling with her new weightloss programme because she can no longer eat late at night.
The heavyweight singer promised concerned family and friends she'd get in shape when she ballooned to 113.4 kilograms (250 pounds) over Christmas (03).
And, after a tearful appearance on pal Oprah Winfrey's daytime show in February (04) in which her sister ashley and new husband DR ROACH made their concerns public, Judd signed up a personal trainer in an effort to slim down.
But she admits she's far from happy with her efforts so far.
She says, "I wanna get my lips sown shut. I'm on the 'Slimslow' diet and coming off this habit I have of eating before bedtime has been as hard as coming off drugs.
"The eating thing is a real challenge for me because at night is when I get kinda lonesome and I've worked really hard, and the kids are in bed, and I deserve it because I've put in a full day."
But Wynonna reveals she has noticed little benefits to losing weight: "I've gone down a size. I'm singing better than ever, in terms of the length of notes.
"Not going through drive-throughs has been like the alcoholic going to the bar and not drinking... I'm getting to that point where it's starting to not feel good when I do it."11/05/2004 21:11
