Singer Wynonna Judd's new husband has been hospitalised after he was involved in a serious road accident on Saturday afternoon (18Aug12).
The country star was travelling on a highway near Hill City, South Dakota ahead of her concert in the state that night with her rocker husband Michael 'Cactus' Moser following in his motorbike.
However, Moser, 55, ran into trouble when he allegedly floated across the centre of the highway and collided with an oncoming vehicle.
Emergency services were called and he was airlifted by helicopter to Rapid City Regional Hospital, where he is being treated for serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
Judd was not hurt in the accident, nor was the driver of the car Moser collided with.
Police have cited Moser, the drummer in her band The Big Noise, for crossing the road's centre line and not having a licence to operate a motorcycle.
As a result of the horrifying crash, Judd postponed her gig at the Deadwood Mountain Grand Hotel & Casino on Saturday to remain by her husband's side. She has also pulled out of a string of dates in Canada next week (begs20Aug12). The shows are all expected to be rescheduled.
In a statement issued to WENN, Judd says, "The outpouring of prayer and support from friends, family and fans has been a blessing to both Cactus and I. Cactus is a champion. I love him deeply and I will not leave his side."
The Burnin' Love hitmaker wed Moser in June (12).
