A longtime producer for rap collective the Wu-Tang Clan is facing charges of sexual assault, felony escape and harassment after he was arrested for the second time this week (begs12Sep11) for escaping police custody.
True Master, real name Derrick Harris, was initially taken into custody in New York on Tuesday night (13Sep11) and accused of forcing himself on and beating a 43-year-old female "acquaintance".
Cops escorted him to court to be arraigned and he was placed on $250,000 (£156,250) bond.
However, Harris managed to slip away from officers to return to his home in Harlem, sparking a police ambush involving 20 cops and two helicopters.
Harris was re-arrested shortly afterwards and was taken back to the courthouse, where he was charged with the three counts after also reportedly spitting on a policeman.
The 41 year old is now being held without bail.
Harris has been associated with the Wu-Tang Clan since 1995 and has worked with rappers including Ghostface, Method Man, Busta Rhymes and Krs-One.
