Hip-hop legends Wu-Tang Clan are preparing to mark their 20th anniversary next year (13) with their first studio album since 2007.

Producer and band leader RZA recently expressed his desire to reunite the entire crew and make one final record together so they could make amends for their past tardiness and go out with a bang.

He told The New York Times, "There’s one last job Wu-Tang Clan must do. The 20th anniversary is next year. And we need to, one time, completely, efficiently, properly, professionally represent our band. One more time. But this time, showing up on time for press and for concerts and studio. Do it one time, perfect.”

Now it appears Rza has achieved his goal, rounding up surviving original members GZA, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Masta Killa, U-God and Inspectah Deck to hit the studio.

A post on the band's Facebook.com page confirms: "New Wu Tang Clan Album coming soon."

The forthcoming project will be the follow-up to 2007's 8 Diagrams.
