A version of upcoming comic book film X-Men Origins: Wolverine has reportedly been leaked online a month ahead of its cinema release.
The film is not due for release until May 1st but a "DVD-quality" version of the X-Men spin this morning appeared on several streaming video and filesharing sites.
Reviews of the Hugh Jackman-starring film based on the leaked version have also begun appearing online.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a prequel to the Marvel movie franchise, tells of the mutant's (Jackman) troubled past, including the death of his girlfriend at the hands of Victor Creed (Liev Schreiber) and his involvement in the shady Weapon X programme.
According to online blogger Drew McWeeny, the leak is "near-finished marred only by a few unfinished FX shots".
He wrote on HitFix: "There's no timecode, no [studio] watermark nothing. It's a clean, perfect copy."
It has since been reported the leak could be an early version of the film, without new material from reshoots recently held by director Gavin Hood.
The leak - one of the most high-profile in recent years - will come as a huge disappointment to studio 20th Century Fox, with the film intended as a major summer blockbuster and a challenger to the likes of Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen and the new Star Trek movie.
