Country superstar Willie Nelson is set to be saluted by Grammy Awards bosses for his longstanding philanthropy efforts.

The veteran singer will be saluted as part of the Grammy Foundation Legacy Concert, where he will be recognised for his many charity endeavours, including founding the non-profit Farm Aid organisation and annual benefit show with Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985.

Nelson joins rocker Bryan Adams and gay rights activists Cyndi Lauper and Melissa Etheridge among the honourees at the 2015 gig, dubbed, Lean On Me: A Celebration of Music and Philanthropy, which will take place at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles in the run up to the Grammy Awards in February (15).

Soul stars Robin Thicke and Aloe Blacc are also scheduled to perform.
