Star Trek legend William Shatner is having trouble updating his captain's log on Google's new social networking site after bosses at the internet giant shut down his account.
The veteran actor is a keen web user, regularly updating his Twitter.com page and he even founded his own networking site, MyOuterSpace.com, for sci-fi fans.
But he had issues with cyberspace on Monday (18Jul11) after trying to use Google's new social networking forum, Goggle+, when his profile was allegedly deleted for "violating standards".
On his Twitter.com page, Shatner told his 646,327 followers, "My Google+ account was flagged for violating standards. Saying hello to everyone apparently is against the rules maybe I should say goodbye?"
However, bosses at Google+ obviously saw the tweet, and reinstated the profile with immediate effect. He writes on his + profile, "I am back plusers. I still do not know what happened but I will refrain from saying hello again for a while just in case. My best, Bill."
