The charming Will Smith dropped into London last night to attend the premiere of his latest movie, THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS.

But instead of livening up the crowd with cheeky and impromptu renditions of MEN IN BLACK and SUMMERTIME as he did back in 2004 when promoting I, ROBOT in the capital, SMITH decided those days are over and instead plumped for hosting a lunch for the Prince's Trust.

SMITH, joined by co-star and son JADEN and wife JADA PINKETT SMITH, did manage to crack a few characteristic jokes at the do, however, including suggesting it should change its name to THE FRESH PRINCE Trust.

Nevertheless, the extremely amiable SMITH has proved his acting credentials are still intact after his latest offering has raked in around $100 million (£51 million) at the US box office so far.

And a Golden Globe nomination for his role as struggling father Chris Gardner in the film has also improved matters for the former rapper, while the elusive Oscar is still shining brightly ahead of SMITH as we enter awards season.

Although a far cry from the alien-busting, wise-cracking WILL SMITH of old, this new role and new laid-back image for the FRESH PRINCE is certainly going down a treat.
