Will Smith tried to appeal to Mexican fans while promoting his new movie HITCH in the Central American country, by conversing in their native Spanish language.

THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR funnyman's command of the Latin language is far from fluent, and he had to rely on the Mexican chat show host to translate his unique brand of 'Spanglish'.

The 36-year-old reverted back to English during an official press conference after realising his extrovert personality doesn't shine in foreign dialects.

He says, "From the time I was a child, I always enjoyed making people laugh. I like it when people smile and when people connect on a joke."
