Wild Cub Announce Debut Album 'Youth Details' Plus Stream Jensen Sportag Remix Of New Single 'Thunder Clatter' [Listen]

Wild Cub are pleased to announce details of the release of their debut album this Autumn, a new single, and a stretch of UK headline dates to coincide.

Youth will be released through MOM+POP / Virgin EMI on the 15th September, and will be accompanied by the release of a new single, the frenetic 'Thunder Clatter' on the same date.

'Thunder Clatter' comes backed by a remix by fellow Nashville experimentalist pop duo Jensen Sportag.

Recorded and produced in Nashville by frontman/guitarist Keegan DeWitt and multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Bullock, Youth is a record that acts as a thorough introduction to who Wild Cub are, and exactly where they are heading. Exemplified by the wide-eyed leftfield pop of 'Thunder Clatter',Youth positively shakes and shudders, all melody-heavy and bursting with colour and purpose. That Wild Cub have spent a decent proportion of 2014 on the road with Vampire Weekend comes as little surprise, sharing in that joyous, wide-eyed and inventive alt-pop from the decidedly left of centre.

Brooklyn hailing, Nashville based Keegan DeWitt's career in music could have gone either way. For years he wrote scores for indie films, but despite the success, it could never match the fuel of fronting his own band. He started using one to feed the other and relocated to Nashville. Alongside multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Bullock, the pair formed Wild Cub, and it was the best decision the young frontman had ever made.

No sooner had the band formed that things started moving quickly for Wild Cub, their music climbed the US radio charts, gigs started selling out in venues from state to state, and Wild Cub were building up a head of steam.

Keegan though had ideas beyond initial success in his own country, and Wild Cub touched down in London to play a handful of sold-out shows with The 1975 and their own headline show earlier this year, which also sold-out based on word of mouth alone. They returned in the spring to coincide with the release of their debut single 'Colour', for another series of headline shows including a huge reaction at Brighton's Great Escape.

Wild Cub return to the UK in September in support of Youth with three headline dates including a night at London's XOYO on 17th September. Tickets are available now through links below.
