Whitney Houston has been released from hospital in France - and she's firing back at reports she's hooked on drugs again.
The R&B superstar was forced to scrap a string of European concerts after she was diagnosed with respiratory problems, and the medical emergency sparked gossip that she'd returned to her drug-taking ways.
One U.S. tabloid even ran comments from an eyewitness who claimed he watched Houston snort a drug-like substance in a bar during a night out with her ex-husband, Bobby Brown, in Los Angeles last month (Mar10).
The singer insists allergies sparked her medical problems, not a relapse - and she calls the stories about her drug use "ridiculous".
Houston tells People magazine, "At this point, I just don't respond. I don't even read it."
She also reveals her health is terrific and she can't wait to resume her tour in Birmingham, England on 13 April (10).
She adds, "I'm just ready to move on and continue my world tour. I'm doing what I love to do, which is singing. The best part is seeing all of my fans around the world."
