The White Stripes rocker Jack White is auctioning off a musical instrument to raise funds for the victims of the recent floods in Nashville, Tennessee.
Severe storms hit the city earlier this month (May10) and devastating floods left much of the state under water, causing almost two dozen people to die and many homes to be destroyed.
Now White has lent his support to the relief efforts by selling off a red and white custom-made marimba - a percussion instrument similar to a xylophone - which was used during the White Stripes' Get Behind Me Satan tour in 2005.
The instrument was used until 2006 and has been kept in its case ever since - and now fans can buy the marimba on auction website until bidding ends on 24 May (10), with proceeds going to a charity to benefit Nashville.
