Veteran singer Wayne Newton has filed a countersuit against his former business partner.
An unnamed former associate, who alleges he invested millions to turn Newton's Las Vegas mansion into a museum, launched a legal battle against the 70 year old in early May (12), claiming the star blocked development plans by refusing to vacate his home during construction and failed to remove his pets from the property.
The plaintiff also accused the Danke Schoen hitmaker of "obnoxious sexual behavior" towards a young female worker.
Newton's lawyers have since moved to dismiss the allegations, calling them "scurrilous and scandalous", and on Wednesday (30May12) the entertainer fired back with a breach of contract and fraud suit.
The documents, filed in Nevada, also indicate Newton is seeking a restraining order.
According to the Associated Press, both parties are due to appear before a Clark County District Court judge on Thursday (31May12).
