Fans Of Country Music Icon Waylon Jennings Can Now Own A Replica Of His Trademark Stetson Thanks To A Limited Edition Hat Collection Dreamed Up By Designers At Midnight Rider.
The team has recreated the cowboy hat the singer/songwriter wore on the cover of his 1979 hits album The Lash, and the company will make the Stetson available to the public in February (16), with the blessing of Jennings' family.
The hat features "a fur felt, a porkpie crown, and 3.5-inch slightly upturned brim, finished off with a roan leather sweat band embossed with Waylon's signature and 'My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys' in gold foil on the inside."
Midnight Rider bosses became the licensing managers for Waylon Jennings in early 2012 and the new Stetson line is their first collaboration with the Jennings estate.
Midnight Rider Creative Director, Mitra Khayyam, says, "There was no other option in my mind as to who we wanted to partner with in making this collector's item. Stetson's legacy as an unrivalled American heritage Western brand and hat maker is the perfect match for an American icon like Waylon Jennings.
"Myself and Waylon's youngest son, Shooter Jennings, are beyond thrilled to honour Waylon Jennings with this quality cowboy hat that we hope fans can enjoy for generations to come."
