The "entire history" of the popular animation films Wallace And Gromit is feared destroyed in a warehouse blaze.
Academy Award-winning Aardman Animations' site in Bristol, western England, collapsed today (10OCT05) when a fire ravaged all three floors in a blaze involving 10 fire crews.
A spokesman for the studio, ARTHUR SHERIFF, confirms the building contained all the company's props and sets.
He says, It couldn't have come on a worse day - we were supposed to be celebrating because the new film, THE CURSE OF THE WERE-RABBIT, has debuted at the top of the US film chart.
"Instead this could be the complete opposite."
Creator Nick Park is now resigned to the loss of memorabilia from past Wallace And Gromit films THE WRONG TROUSERS and A CLOSE SHAVE.
He says, "It is precious stuff and nostalgic - and its dreadful news for the company."
