The Cyclone star divorced Italian film producer Vittorio Cecchi Gori in 2000 after 17 years of marriage, and now she has been accused of taking a piece of artwork from their marital home.

According to papers filed in a California court, Gori purchased Basquiat's Wine of Babylon from a gallery in 1988 for $330,000 (£206,250) and assigned ownership to bosses at G&G Productions, while keeping it on display at the couple's pad in Rome.

The painting went missing when the stars split and at the time, Rusic denied taking the art or even knowing of its whereabouts.

However, the issue has since resurfaced in a California court, where G&G Productions bosses are seeking the return of the painting, now estimated to be worth at least $1 million (£625,000), reports EntLawDigest.com.

They are suing Rusic for conversion and civil theft, replevin and unjust enrichment.

Rusic has yet to respond to the lawsuit.
