The friends were videoed clashing outside the city's Aria hotel last Thursday, an altercation which was allegedly caused by an earlier scuffle between Vince and a female autograph hunter.
Editors at TMZ.com, report police records show officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) have reviewed surveillance footage of the fan altercation as part of their investigation.
It is alleged the Motley Crue frontman pulled the woman, who was asking actor Nicolas for an autograph, to the ground by her hair.
Vince, who has been cited by police for misdemeanour battery, denies the allegation.
His lawyer told the New York Daily News, "All I've seen is that there was an allegation of a simple misdemeanor battery, people shouldn't pre-judge things until all the facts are in."
Footage published by the gossip website shows the Snake Eyes star grabbing Vince by the neck and telling him to, "stop this s**t now".
TMZ's report also states that the woman, was, "left stunned, and suffered a sore neck...as well as pain in her lower back and hip".
Despite the citation, the Girls, Girls, Girls singer was not arrested and did not attend a police station.
The maximum penalty for misdemeanour battery in Nevada is a maximum fine of up to $1,000 (£710) and/or six months in jail.
Representatives for Nicolas Cage are yet to comment on the incident.
