Paul was a passenger in a Porsche driven by his friend Roger Rodas, who also died, when it hit a pole and burst into flames in November 2013. He was 40 years old.

Vin has publicly grieved the loss of his close friend and Fast & Furious franchise co-star on numerous occasions, and paid another tribute to Paul on social media on Friday (10Jun16).

The actor shared a photo of himself smiling while holding his daughter Pauline - named after Paul - up in the air. However, the snap has been altered to include the late actor smiling down on the pair, and Vin captioned the shot "Always".

The 48-year-old has shared several photos of Paul on social media recently as filming for eighth movie in the franchise, Fast 8, began.

He posted a snap of the pair laughing and smiling together on Instagram back in May (16), and wrote a touching tribute to the late actor. "Many of the crew members who have worked on several of the past Fast films are here again to help us make something special. One of them at the end of the week came up to me and said wow what we are capturing on film is excellent... And then looked at me and said Paul would be proud. #wemakethemwithourhearts," the action star captioned the snap.

Vin, who is reprising his role as Dominic Toretto in the new Furious movie, also posted a video on Instagram back in May that revealed he was using workouts at the gym to help him work through a dark place he was in while getting into character.

"So, I'm grateful that I have this gym here to escape in, and kind of balance my emotions, so that I can be effective but try not to take the pain with me," he said in the clip.

Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Michelle Rodriguez are all returning for Fast 8, alongside new cast members Scott Eastwood and Charlize Theron, who will play the movie's villain.

Fast 8 is set for release in April, 2017.
