Celebrity hairstylist Vidal Sassoon has won a huge settlement from cosmetics company PROCTER + GAMBLE a month before the two parties were due to fight their cases in court.
Sassoon claims P+G "intentionally sabotaged" his products after taking charge of the Vidal Sassoon brand of hair items - to avoid paying him royalties.
P+G bosses planned to fight the stylist all the way, claiming his products simply weren't selling, but have decided to settle to the tune of a reported $50 million (GBP27.8 million).
P+G chiefs also plan to relaunch the Vidal Sassoon line of products in the US.
A spokesman tells American court show CELEBRITY JUSTICE, "We look forward to the continued success of Vidal Sassoon products."09/09/2004 02:44
