Victoria Beckham was reportedly "sick" with nerves before her reunion with erstwhile British pop sensation Spice Girls at the Olympics closing ceremony, The Mirror have revealed.
The 38-year olds international superstar status escaped her for a fleeting moment, just before she exited the cars circling the track at the Olympic stadium in London. If it wasn't for her friend and band mate, Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) she wouldn't have been able to perform, said the pop star and fashion designer. "I was so nervous. I felt sick and Emma was so amazing. Honestly, that's how you know a real friend. If it wasn't for her, I would not have been out there." Beckham overcame her nerves though, and the performance was extremely well received by nostalgic fans, still celebrating after a hugely successful Olympic games. "They're back, they're amazing and we don't think anybody wants to see them go" reviewed the English newspaper.
Their latest performance - closing the games to a word-wide audience - may well herald a return to prominence after a long hiatus from the pop scene. It has been mooted by many, including members of the band, that this recent reunification may be slightly more permanent than initially intended. "I'm so respectful of my past and I love the other girls. We have some fantastic fans. Who knows, maybe some day we'll do something else with the Spice Girls. I would love nothing more."
