Victoria Beckham has forbidden husband David Beckham from being in the audience during the Spice Girls' first concert on their forthcoming world tour.
David told the Daily Mail his fashion icon wife was nervous about the opening gig of The Return of the Spice Girls tour in Vancouver and had urged him to come to later performances on the 18-city itinerary.
The La Galaxy footballer told the paper: "One minute Victoria is saying she wants me there and then it's 'No, don't come to the first show, as we'll all be too nervous'."
David said he was planning to attend the performance in the US city of San Jose, which follows the opening concert in Vancouver. He added the couple's three children were keen to see their mother on stage.
The 32-year-old sports star said: "I think I'll be at the show a couple of days later in San Jose and have the boys with me. And I know Victoria will ring me as soon as the first show ends.
"She says the rehearsals have gone amazingly well," he added.
Meanwhile the fab five, who have been rehearsing for the tour in Los Angeles, showed off merchandise that will be available at the tour venues.
Speaking about the specialised T-shirts for each of the girls, Posh Spice said: "We have some great merchandise planned for the tour and weve chosen designs that we would all wear ourselves. We've also got a vest that says Spice Boy that is fantastic!"
The all-girl band will kick off their tour on December 2nd.
