DAVID and Victoria Beckham have raised $185,500 (GBP103,100) for UK charity the National Society For The Protection Of Cruelty To Children (NSPCC) by auctioning off two tickets to their glitzy World Cup party on eBay. The soccer superstar and his wife donated the coveted invites to help raise cash for the launch of There4me.com, the NSPCC's online counselling site for kids. The lucky bidder, known only as heyjo-uk, will rub shoulders with a star-studded crowd at tomorrow's (21MAY06) bash and will see Robbie Williams duetting with soul superstar James Brown. An NSPCC spokesman says, "It is a huge amount of money which will do a lot of good." Other celebrities selling off their possessions in aid of the initiative include supermodel Claudia Schiffer, who donated her own jewelled watch, and rocker Bryan Adams, who is offering someone the chance to duet with him.
