Vanessa Hudgens, best known for her role as the picture-perfect Gabriella Montez in High School Musical, has been given a dramatic make-under for new film 'Gimme Shelter'. According to People magazine, Vanessa Hudgens is shaking off her bubblegum tween image for the film, which is a dark exploration of a pregnant teenager who leaves her abusive Mother's home and sets out to find her biological father. The film also stars Rosario Dawson, and deals with teenage homelessness.
Style icon Hudgens spends most of the film in baggy jeans and t-shirts, with short, messy hair and is made-under to look pale and under-nourished. She has made her Facebook fans aware of how proud she is of the work, and to expect a shock, commenting: ""I'm so excited and proud of the work I've been doing and let me tell you, you all are going to be SHOCKED with how I look in this movie, it's crazy sauce!" Hudgens has been busy working on the film, staying out of the limelight created by the rumours that her ex, Zac Efron, has hooked up with her best friend, Ashley Tisdale. A source told E! Online that the rumours were false, and the two are just best friends: "They are good friends and have been for years. Ashley is dating SCOTT SPEER." Hudgens also did not rule out the possible re-kindling of her romance with Efron.
