After inducting Van Morrison into the Songwriters Hall of Fame last night (12JUN03) in New York, Ray Charles joined him for a duet on CRAZY LOVE.

Queen, Little Richard and Phil Collins were also inducted.

Morrison used his induction speech to pay tribute to Charles: "If it wasn't for Ray, most of us wouldn't be here."

Others honorees included Tony Bennett, who won the Towering Song Award for I LEFT MY HEART IN SAN FRANCISCO, J RECORDS boss Clive Davis, who received the Hitmaker Award, and diva Patti Labelle, who was given the Lifetime Achievement Award.
