R&B superstar Usher broke down in tears on U.S. TV after he helped transform a needy family's home on top-rating series EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION.
The Yeah! hitmaker returned to his native Tennessee to help rebuild the house of Trina Scott and her three kids - who were left fatherless after Dave Scott, a police officer, was killed in the line of duty.
And the star was so inspired by Trina - who has volunteered all her spare time to help other grieving police widows - he decided to pick up tools and get stuck in with the show's makeover team to create a dream home for the Scotts.
Usher, who is a big fan of the show, admits he couldn't stop the tears from rolling when the family returned to their new home.
He says, "It was just an ultimate emotional moment. I won't venture to say it was one of the greatest Extreme Makeovers, but it was definitely heart wrenching and a moment to remember.
"I can't say I'm a crier every time I watch. But, this time, I cried. They got me on camera crying. I couldn't help it."
The episode airs in the U.S. on Sunday night (06Dec09).
