R&B star Usher honoured media mogul Ted Turner for his years of charity work last week (ends22Jul11) by presenting him with an award in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Yeah! hitmaker and his New Look Foundation, a youth leadership organisation, hosted the World Leadership Conference on Friday (22Jul11) to pay tribute to today's top philanthropists and Turner, the founder of cable news network CNN, was the toast of the 2011 event.
The businessman was handed the Service Legacy Award in recognition of his lifetime of leadership in philanthropy, including setting up the United Nations Foundation and launching its Nothing But Nets global campaign to end malaria in Africa.
Nothing But Nets campaigners have raised more than $35 million (£21.88 million) to provide more than four million mosquito nets to families throughout the continent.
