Usher and Alicia Keys will give the first ever live performance of their number one Billboard hit MY BOO at the 32nd annual American Music Awards (AMAs) on 14 November (04).

Janet Jackson, who incurred a $550,000 (GBP300,000) fine for American television network CBS for her Super Bowl "wardrobe malfunction", has been trusted to welcome the pair onto the stage at Las Vegas's Shrine Auditorium.

Ceremony producer DICK CLARK says, "One of the great things about the AMAs is the ability to bring performances to the air that are 'of the moment', and what could be more timely than the first live TV performance of the number one song in America?

"I wish I could leave the producers' table and get a seat out front for this one. It will surely be one of the highlights of the evening."

Other scheduled performers include Fantasia, Lenny Kravitz, MAROON 5, Snoop Dogg + Pharrell Williams, Gwen Stefani, Twista, and Kanye West.
