Uma Thurman once hired a dietician to visit her at a castle.

The 43-year-old actress requested the help of nutritionist to the stars Kimberly Snyder when she took on the role of Maid Marion in the 1991 film 'Robin Hood' and the health expert was thrilled at the opportunity provided by her first ever famous client, which involved travelling up to Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, North West England.

Kimberly exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ''Uma Thurman was my first client. It wasn't even on a movie, she asked me to come into her house and cook for her and I started telling her about my philosophy. I actually came to the [UK] with her.

''We went up to, nowhere near London, it was in the North and it was like a castle and they rented it. So that was one of my first times travelling with a celebrity, it won't be the last! But it was actually here in England.''

Kimberly has since gained dozens of A-list clients and she still visits several of her favourites to personally cook them meals in their own home, while her assistant provides the meals for those seeking her advice in New York.

She added: ''In LA I still cook for a few of [my clients], Drew Barrymore Kerry Washington - just a few that I love so much that I can't pass it on. But I have an organic smoothie shop now so we make stuff there and all my clients' assistants come by.''

Drew has supported Kimberly's journey from the beginning and loves her unique approach to dieting, which focuses more which foods help overall appearances in addition to losing weight.

She said in a statement: ''I don't like to diet, I like to eat right and that's what Kim's philosophy is all about. She's brilliant.''

Kimberly has put all her tips and recipes into her new book 'The Beauty Detox', published on May 3 by Harlequin Non-Fiction.
