Fans Of Reggae Group UB40 Were Left Disappointed When They Were Turned Away From A Concert On Tuesday (19may15) After Promoters Allegedly Oversold Tickets To The Gig.
The British band played at Ventnor Winter Gardens on the Isle of Wight, England, but around 200 fans were refused entry after a promotions company reportedly sold too many tickets.
The band later took to Facebook.com to explain the mishap and assure fans they are investigating the incident.
The post reads, "UB40 and their management are bitterly disappointed that the (promoters)... oversold our show on Tuesday, 19th May. This led to approximately two hundred fans to arrive at the venue being turned away. While the venue and promoter have already accepted full responsibility, we currently await a full explanation as to how they ever allowed this situation to occur. This is the very least our loyal fans deserve."
