Actor/director Tyler Perry has been named the highest paid man in entertainment by the bosses at money magazine Forbes.
Perry raked in $130 million (Gbp81.3 million) in a year (May10-May11), thanks in part to his popular TV shows House of Payne and Meet the Browns, and he has catapulted to the top of Forbes' annual list of Entertainment's Highest-Paid Men.
Pirates of the Caribbean producer Jerry Bruckheimer came in second place with $113 million (Gbp70.6 million) and legendary director Steven Spielberg took the third spot with $107 million (Gbp66.9 million).
Rounding out the top five were Elton John ($100 million/Gbp62.5 million) and former American Idol judge Simon Cowell ($90 million/Gbp56.3 million).
Other notables on the list included Inception star Leonardo DiCaprio, who nabbed a spot at number eight ($77million/Gbp48.1), and radio personality Howard Stern ($76 million/Gbp47.5 million) landed in ninth spot. Tiger Woods came in 10th on the new rich list with a $75 million (Gbp46.9 million) fortune.
