The hip-hop star, real name Michael Nguyen-Stevenson, reportedly rented a home in Calabasas, California in 2010 but fell behind on his payments, leaving with an alleged $90,000 (£56,000) unpaid bill.

Editors at TMZ.com report that the rapper was ordered to appear in court but failed to show. Tyga's lawyer told the landlord the star would pay his legal bill of $1,090 (£681) but his cheque bounced.

The landlord is demanding that Tyga repay all the money plus interest, reportedly leaving the sum at $124,000 (£77,500), otherwise he plans to seek an arrest warrant for the star.
