Start your engines and get ready for the ride because Scotland's finest, Twin Atlantic, are back with a bang. 'Heart And Soul' (Zane Lowe's Hottest Record) is the infectious first single from their eagerly anticipated new album due later this summer on Red Bull Records.
Three years and 300 gigs on from their 100,000 selling debut 'Free', Twin Atlantic are ready for the big time. They've spent much of the last 12 months holed up in a recording studio writing addictive anthems with instantly catchy choruses.
Their first explosive single, 'Heart And Soul', is produced by Jacknife Lee (U2, REM), bristles with an infectious energy and boasts a stadium-sized hook that no rock anthem should be without.
The song is so good that Radio 1's Head Of Music George Ergatoudis, recently tweeted, "Hyperbole alert. No joke-Stunning does not do them justice."
"Our aim was always to make songs this size," says singer Sam McTrusty. "Coming from a punk rock background, it took awhile- we like to say we went the scenic route. But it was the right route for us, full of interesting stops on which we learnt a lot - about ourselves, about each other, about how to make music that connects with fans which is always honest, never forced."
Twin Atlantic are on a mission with global domination in their sights. Already confirmed for T In The Park, The Great Escape (where they headline the VEVO show on May 10th) and with more dates to come, 2014 is shaping up to be their year.
Twin Atlantic are: Sam McTrusty - Lead Vocals & Guitar, Ross McNae - Bass, Piano & Vocals, Barry McKenna - Guitar, Cello & Vocals, Craig Kneale - Drums & Vocals.
