Following two incredible packed out shows at Reading and Leeds Festival, Fueled By Ramen's Twenty One Pilots have announced their first ever UK headline tour which will kick off on 17 February at The Haunt in Brighton and followed by shows in Oxford, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Bristol and Portsmouth before finishing up at Heaven, London on 27 February.
Their label debut album 'Vessel' will finally be getting its UK release on 2 September, followed by the release of their new single 'House Of Gold' on 21 October. This duo are already garnering serious support in the UK, after only playing a handful of UK shows - Zane Lowe made them his 'Big Thing This Week' and 'Hottest Record In The World' as well as their last single 'Holding On To You' making the In New Music We Trust list.
Having already self-released two albums, the first in 2009 and second in 2011 the duo quickly attracted serious label attention following a sold out hometown show in Columbus - known for their irrepressible on-stage energy, twenty one pilots have built an avid international following with their crazy live performances. Everywhere they go they're building an incredibly loyal following that hang on Tyler's every word and every move - as shown by their recent Underworld show where 400 kids turned up wearing the same white balaclava that the guys wear on stage.
"Vessel" sees twenty one pilots expanding upon the distinctive fusion of piano-driven indie-rocktronica, ably supported in the studio with superstar producer Greg Wells (Weezer, Adele, Aerosmith) behind the board. Songs like "Holding On To You" prompted Billboard to hail the guys "wind-up-toy of a single" as irresistible "saccharine punk rap".
twenty one pilots are: Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun.
