The cast of the upcoming Tupac Shakur biopic will be honoured in Las Vegas on Tuesday (12Apr16).
Director Benny Boom and Demetrius Shipp, Jr., the actor who is portraying the late rapper, will be on hand to accept a special proclamation from Clark County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly.
Filming for the project about "the life and legacy of the beloved artist" began in Atlanta, Georgia in December (15). It will wrap in Las Vegas after filming started there on Monday (11April16).
A press release reads: "September 2016 marks the twenty-year anniversary of the death of Tupac Shakur. Production in Las Vegas will reenact the hours and events leading up to that fateful night."
All Eyez on Me is slated for release in November (16) and also features R&B star Keyshia Cole, Hill Harper, Kat Graham, and Danai Gurira.
Tupac was shot and killed in Las Vegas.
