Rap star Trick Daddy faces felony cocaine and misdemeanour pot charges after being arrested near Miami, Florida, last week (ends26SEP03).

A judge released the Southern rapper on $15,000 (GBP9,375) bail on Friday (26SEP03) and ordered him to serve house arrest for violating parts of a bail requirement in another felony incident.

Trick Daddy - real name MAURICE YOUNG - and a friend were escorted out of a high school stadium after parents complained they were being unruly in the stands during a football game.

Police discovered the drugs in Trick Daddy's possession when they searched him and his pal.

Trick Daddy's situation was complicated by the fact he was already out on bond for another felony incident in February (03). He allegedly pulled out a gun on a basketball player and faces charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, use of firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He was released on $22,000 (GBP13,750) bail on those charges, and is scheduled to appear on trial on 14 October (03).
