Actress Tori Spelling loves her gay icon status - because she is a "huge fan" of homosexuals.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 star admits she took her role in gay-themed movie Kiss The Bride as she wanted to reward her loyal gay fans.
She says, "(The gay theme) was probably one of the top things that made me want to do the movie. I'm a huge fan of gays. They love me; I love them.
"They consider me kind of a gay icon, which they've labelled me as."
And Spelling's homosexual-loving credentials were confirmed when she was ordained as a minister in order to officiate at the wedding of two male fans at the California bed and breakfast she runs with her husband Dean MCDermott.
She adds, "They said 'We have this idea. We want you to perform the ceremony... we're huge fans, it would be so cool if Tori Spelling married us.' I haven't done any since... but I'm open. I'm free, my schedule is wide open."
