Director Tony Scott was devastated by the death of DOMINO HARVEY in June (05) - as the troubled bounty hunter had become a surrogate daughter to him.

Scott, who directed Hollywood movie DOMINO, based on Harvey's adventures, was always there when the former model's drug problems became too much, and he quickly developed a strong bond with her.

He says, "I felt close to her because I'd known her for such a long time.

"She'd be in my life every week for a month, then I wouldn't hear from her for six months.

"She'd call me when she was in trouble. The problems were mainly drugs-related.

"I'd try and guide her and coax her through. I think she looked at me as a father figure.

"I always gravitate to people who reach for the dark side and she really did reach for it."
