Tony Blair and his wife Cherie are reportedly being lined up to appear in a special version of ITV1's Who Wants to be a Millionaire.
The broadcaster is said to want the former prime minister and Mrs Blair, a high-flying barrister, to appear in a one-off celebrity version of the quiz this Christmas.
According to the Daily Mirror there is a realistic chance the couple could appear on the Chris Tarrant-fronted show and a source indicated hopes are high they could scoop the £1 million top prize for their chosen category.
"Some of our biggest celebs have appeared. Who knows you are talking about two intelligent people they could go all the way," a show insider revealed.
Even before leaving Downing Street last month media-friendly Mr Blair, 54, appeared in a Comic Relief sketch opposite Catherine Tate's comedic creation Lauren Cooper, infamously uttering her catchphrase "Am I bovvered?"
But his wife, two years his junior, could be less willing for a return to the public eye after firing a "We won't miss you" parting shot at a waiting pack of reporters and photographers as she and her family left No 10.
If the Blairs did opt to appear on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire they would have to emulate the success of interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and his wife Jacqueline Llewelyn-Bowen, who last year became the only couple to reach the £1 million final question.
