Former SONY RECORDS boss Tommy Mottola is to revitalise disco label
Casablanca, which was once the home of Donna Summer and the Village People.
Mottola, who was once married to Mariah Carey, resigned as Sony head
earlier this year (03), but has stayed active in the industry and has already
signed three new acts to Casablanca.
The record company, which launched in 1973 and also included Cher, Kiss
and GIORGIO MORODER during its heyday, shut down in 1984 following the death of
founding music mogul NEIL BOGART.
