Rocker Tommy Lee's four month prison sentence in 1998 was made all the more terrifying when he discovered his cell in Los Angeles County Jail had previously housed one of the MENENDEZ BROTHERS.

The former Motley Crue drummer spent the summer of 1998 locked away after pleading no contest to a spousal battery charge brought against him by his then-wife Pamela Anderson.

And, as if his darkened cell wasn't enough to turn him stir crazy, he was taunted by the thought of one of the Menendez brothers, LYLE and ERIK (corr), who killed their parents, stalking the tiny room.

Recalling his terrifying time behind bars in an extract from his new book, TOMMYLAND, in heavy rock magazine Revolver, Lee says, "They painted a white line on the floor that he had to stand behind whenever they opened the door. Creepy.

"I don't know what time anything happened, but I'd guess it was about seven or eight in the morning when they'd wake us up by turning the lights on, bright as f**k.

"Every two days they'd take me out for a shower. And once a week, every Thursday, they'd take me out to a cage on the roof. You could see a piece of sky and a bit of sun.

"They'd always take me up there toward the end of the day so that I'd see sunset, or a slice of it. I'd sit there with tears rolling down my face."
