Picture: Tom Jones Performs live at the Hampton Court Palace Music Festival London, England - 18.06.07
Welsh sex symbol Tom Jones wants to trademark his image because he is tired of companies using it to promote their goods without his permission.
The IT'S NOT UNUSUAL singer, 64, has applied to register a photograph of himself with the EUROPEAN COMMUNITY TRADEMARK OFFICE - and is awaiting a decision.
Jones' lawyer IAN BARTLETT says, "This is something that Noel Gallagher of Oasis has already done. If the application is approved, it will mean that Mr Jones owns the rights to his image and it will stop exploitation of it."
