The American fashion designer is very fussy about which people he dresses, and cites the US actress - who he memorably dressed for The Oscars in 2012 - as his all-time favourite.
He said: ''I dress only celebrities who are real clients. I've been fortunate to dress who I want to dress.
''Gwyneth Paltrow for the Oscars that year was the perfect person to dress, and I didn't dress anyone else.
''I didn't want to. The important thing is not to dress as many people as you can, but to really get the right person.''
Tom, 52, joked he is rewarded by his loyal celebrity followers, as they don't try and get discounts from him.
He added to E! News: ''Most of the people I dress come into the store and actually buy the clothes at full retail price. They are customers! They shop!''
Tom debuted his Spring/Summer 2014 collection during London Fashion Week yesterday (16.09.13), which saw him reflect his glamorous former Gucci campaigns with figure hugging short jewelled dresses, fishnet tights, sky-high bondage boots and visible thongs under sheer skirts as well as biker jackets, leather skirts and animal prints.
