Tom Cruise is having a hugely successful promotional campaign ahead of the new 'Mission Impossible' film; at the beginning of the month the actor had been in Tokyo, Japan - a place which traditionally adores him - to attend a special fan-only screening of the forthcoming movie ahead of its general release in the country on December 16th 2011. Now the 49 year-old has been wowing crowds at the Dubai Film Festival with the film also premiering there.
Titled 'Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol', the film was largely shot in Dubai so the festival was a homecoming-of-sorts for the cast and crew - one particularly iconic moment of the film sees the ageless Cruise climbing the side of the world's tallest building, the 828 metre high Burj Khalifa which is situated there.
Afp reports that, as in Japan, Cruise's arrival was met with a huge clamour, dozens of fans at the red carpet to witness the arrival of one of the world's most famous movie stars; the premiere was also the opening night of the film festival and saw Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum in attendance to launch an event that will see 171 movies from 56 countries aired up until December 14th.
