Tom Cruise is set to make his New York stage debut - as the subject of a quirky new play about how the movie superstar affects people. In Redux Productions' New York International Fringe Festival show I WAS TOM CRUISE, a young couple's world is turned upside down when they embark on a friendship with the Top Gun star. Dreaming of becoming just like Cruise, the play's lead character enters into a dark bargain with the actor so he can taste life as superstar. The play, written by ALEXANDER POE, debuts at the Connelly Theatre on 11 August (06).
